W. Shane Smithton, (PLLC), was born in Laverne, Oklahoma on August 19, 1966. After graduating from Woodward High School, Smithton attended Oklahoma State University and received a B.S. in Business Marketing in 1988.

Next, Smithton went on to pursue his legal education from Notre Dame Law School where he graduated with his J.D. in 1991.

Later that year, Smithton was admitted to the Oklahoma bar. As well as, admitted to practice before U.S. Court of Appeals, Tenth Circuit; U.S. District Court, Western District of Oklahoma.

Smithton is a member and past president of the Woodward County Bar Association. As well as a member of the Oklahoma County Bar Association; Oklahoma Bar Association; American Bar Association; Oklahoma Association for Justice.
